Repeat Prescription

This can be done in a number of ways:

  • At the surgery, by filling out your repeat list (white copy) and placing in the box at reception or, if we are closed, in our post-box on the wall outside.
  • In writing by way of letter or fax
  • Online via Emis Access. For details on how to log on to this service, please speak to us at reception.

We need 48 hours/two working day's notice in order to process your request. In exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the doctor, we are able to process prescriptions urgently.

Our Practice Policy, which follows NHS guidelines on stockpiling and wastage, is to issue not more than two months supply of medication in one go. Please ask to see a copy of our Practice Policy for full details.

Local pharmacies may also be able to help with prescription requests.

Please note, due to medico-legal reasons we cannot accept prescription requests over the telephone.
